One day Ulf Rollof came to the office and presented his new project. He was carrying a black piece of metal with routed letters and said he wanted a digital typeface that looked just like that.

I scanned the piece and started building the typeface. The hardest part was to stay away from correcting all ugliness caused by geometry and instead just follow the geometric rules. Normally I would do the exact opposite.
